Little VIPs Day Care

Welcome from us all

At Little VIPs Day Care, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent, high-quality care and education in a warm and welcoming home-from-home environment. We believe that every child is unique and deserves personalised attention and nurturing. Our approach places children at the heart of everything we do. Our team is composed of highly skilled, passionate, and dedicated professionals who are committed to creating a supportive and stimulating environment for every child.

Learning Through Play

Learning through play is a cornerstone of our educational philosophy; it’s a vital part of a child's development. Our thoughtfully designed nursery environments, both indoors and outdoors, provide children with endless opportunities to safely explore, investigate, and discover. Our home-like setting helps children feel comfortable and secure, fostering a sense of belonging and confidence.

We continuously adapt and change our learning resources to reflect the seasons, the world around the children, and their evolving interests. This approach stimulates children's natural curiosity and desire to learn. By encouraging imagination, awe, curiosity, and wonder, we aim to create empowered learners who are eager to engage with the world around them.

Outdoor Learning:

Outdoor learning is a passion of ours and a strength of our school and nursery. We recognise its important role in children's overall development. Our outdoor facilities are located in the heart of the beautiful Lowther Estate, offering a rich and diverse natural environment for children to explore. Both at the nursery and the school, our outdoor spaces encourage physical activity, creativity, and a connection with nature. We believe that outdoor learning helps children develop important skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and resilience.  It provides endless opportunities for exploration and discovery, fostering a lifelong love of learning and an appreciation for the environment.

Curriculum:

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum, which is carefully woven into everything we do. This comprehensive framework supports children's learning and development from birth to five years old, ensuring they have the best possible start in life. Our experienced staff use this to plan and deliver a wide range of activities that promote development in the seven key areas of: communication and language; physical development; personal, social, and emotional development; literacy; mathematics; understanding the world; and expressive arts and design. By following this curriculum, we ensure that each child receives a well-rounded and balanced early education.

Preparation for School:

As children approach the next step of their learning journey into school, we focus on helping them become confident, independent, and effective communicators. We emphasise the development of social skills, self-confidence, and independence, ensuring that children feel prepared and excited for their transition to school. Our goal is to lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning, helping children to become enthusiastic and capable learners who are ready to take on new challenges.

For children approaching school age, who are ready for the next steps, we offer tailored sessions in our Reception Class where they can benefit from a wider range of experiences and have a taste of school routines.
