Summer 2023 Results
SATs outcomes are a single measure of performance. There are many ways in which we assess how successful we have been in making a positive impact on the children at Lowther School.
In a small school the results of one child can make several percentage points difference.
Attainment results taken in isolation may not always recognise the progress children have made from their starting point at entry. They may not show the number of children who have special educational needs and who may not fully access the tests. They may not show the children who have overcome significant emotional challenges or the support that has been given to them.
SATs results are just a small part of the overall teaching, assessment and pastoral care that children receive at Lowther. We, like all schools, always strive to improve our results, year on year, but above all we strive to improve opportunities for each and every child to fulfil their potential, pursue their interests in a safe and happy school.
We put the children at the centre of their education here. Please do look at some of our photographs including on Facebook which give a wider view on the broad and rich curriculum that we teach at Lowther.
