Otters (Yr2/3/4)

Our first day in Otters

Welcome to Otters,

We have 20 children in Otters and we are a mixed Year2, 3 and 4 Class.  Mrs Thomas teaches us on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, whilst Ms Thwaites teaches us on Thursdays and Fridays.  Generally, on Wednesday afternoons we have Science with Mrs Weild.  During the day Mrs. Gill and Miss Tickner support the class in numeracy work and Mrs Pinkerton helps with reading during English lessons.  We really enjoy working hard and enthusiastically but we also like having great fun, linking our topic to lots of areas of the curriculum.

We are positive, happy and always do our best.

Our re-organised classroom enables children to work independently, in small groups and as a whole class.  There are areas for continuous provision and everyone has the responsibility of looking after each other, our resources and the class / school environment.

Our main priority is to work hard as a team and ensure the classroom is a lovely working environment where we can aim to succeed with our learning and progress.  You can also look at our Facebook page for updates, where you can see exactly what we have been up to during our fantastic year together.

Spring Term Topic

This term our topic is the 'Volcanoes and Earthquakes and The Romans.'  Please have a look at the topic plan below for more information.

Our homework includes:

Spellings -   Set weekly.

Maths - Y3/4 fast maths (times tables) Y2 CGP Activities set weekly - Hand in on Mondays

Home learning - Set once every half term via google classroom.  Usually the activities set in our Home Learning will be linked to our topic.
