We expect all school-aged pupils to wear the school uniform at all times during the school year. The aim of our policy is to ensure pupils are smart, feel a sense of belonging and ready to learn. Uniform helps us set high standards as soon as we walk into school. Within our guidelines there is plenty of choice to allow children to have a sense of individuality, whilst still showing that they are part of the school community!
The uniform has been kept simple, so that it is easy to find and purchase and to keep the cost to a minimum! Parents/carers are expected to send their children in to school correctly dressed and we ask that you inform us by telephone/email if, for any reason, the appropriate school uniform cannot be worn.
Our school uniform comprises of a navy blue sweatshirt/hoodie/cardigan (with optional school logo) and yellow polo shirt (with optional school logo) with navy or black skirt or trousers (navy or black shorts/blue or yellow gingham dress in warm weather), together with suitable footwear (black school shoes or walking/trainer style shoes).
Whilst uniform with the school logo is available to purchase from Sam Scotts Penrith, plain uniform is equally acceptable for all, readily available from supermarkets. We regularly keep second-hand uniform to pass on to families too - please do return any good quality uniform to us for this purpose.
Children are wearing their school PE Kit to school for PE days. These days are subject to change and parents will be informed of any half-termly (or weekly changes). PE Kit also needs to be uniform compliant with no branded/fashion sports clothing to be worn.
Our PE kit comprises of a navy blue sweatshirt/hoodie (with optional school logo) and yellow or white t-shirt (with optional school logo) with navy or black shorts, joggers or leggings, together with suitable trainers (these should be a different pair to their school shoes).
When choosing any clothing for school please bear in mind the following points:
Jewellery, other than standard watches, should not be worn. Children with pierced ears should only wear studs to school for safety, and these must be removed by the child for PE and swimming lessons. Long hair needs to be tied back securely for these activities. Thank you.
