At Little VIPs Nursery, our curriculum is designed to give every child the very best start in life. Rooted firmly in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and guided by Development Matters, our approach ensures children grow through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences.
We focus on the three key stages of early development, carefully tailored to the needs of each age group:
The youngest children are nurtured in a calm and secure environment where strong attachments are built. Learning begins through sensory exploration, early communication, and first movements. Babies are supported to develop confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging.
Toddlers thrive as they explore their independence. At this stage, the focus is on developing early language, social skills, and physical confidence. Through songs, stories, outdoor play, and creative activities, children begin to make sense of the world around them.
Older children are encouraged to question, imagine, and solve problems. Building on their earlier learning, they deepen their communication, maths, and early literacy skills while exploring more complex themes such as community, nature, and the wider world. This stage prepares them with the knowledge, confidence, and resilience needed for school.
